These earplugs are amazingly comfortable. I've used the 3M classic earplugs for years. I started using them under my over-the-ear earmuffs at the rifle range and they worked, but they were extremely uncomfortable. Outside of the range, I use earplugs to drown out everything around me when I work from home. The Anbow earplugs are amazing. I can't hear the construction down the street or the neighbor's kid shrieking its head off every day when he gets home from school. I can't hear cars go by or people walking past talking. That being said, earplugs do NOT drown out all sound. That's impossible. I can still hear my own dog bark inside the house (although it's muted somewhat) and I can hear the air handler turn on and off in the closet next to my office. As I type this review, I can hear the keyboard clicking to a certain degree, but if someone was typing 10 feet from me, I wouldn't be able to hear that. Would this drown out someone snoring next to you? No. Earplugs don't do that. Sleeping in another room will. Earplugs soften harsh sounds, and these do exactly that comfortably. While I can still ear the pickup without the exhaust rumble down the street, I can no longer hear the neighbors radio. The key to getting a good fit is following the instructions to the letter. Every step! When it says hold them in place for 60 seconds while they expand...you do exactly that. These conform nicely to the ear without making your head feel like it's going to explode. The 3M earplugs always gave me a headache...these don't. I'm very satisfied and I love the metal case these come with. I wish I could order a refill set though. Like a set of 10, 20 or 50 earplugs without the metal case. The same way I used to order the 3M earplugs. I would buy them. I love these and I hope this company doesn't go out of business or stop making them.

I bought this set of earplugs to use when I sleep. There are always sound coming from cars passing by. It comes with two sets of ear plugs so that I can take one on the go too. I like how the earplugs feel because they are soft.

I purchased these earplugs because I'm living in the heart of the city, there is a construction site to my left, annoying neighbors to my right and lately, a street drummer have been visiting our lovely neighborhood as well. I have tried all types of earplugs to cut all that noise, and this one seriously works. I use them when working and sleeping. After inserting the earplugs and wait for them to inflate they fill my ears with nothing but silence.

I am giving these three stars because they are super comfortable to wear but they do not cancel out the level of noise needed for me. I sleep with a snorer so I have to wear ear plugs all night in order to sleep. I needed something antimicrobial because I got an ear infection from the chronic use of my last brand. These have been great for that reason but they just don't hold up to other brands when it comes to silencing the snoring. I think it's the odd shape that makes them not work well but it's also that shape that makes them comfortable enough to wear all night. So, it's a toss up. If you are using them for sleeping with a light snorer or just to mute background noise then they will be perfect. Just not working for me but my snorer can shake walls.

Wanted to wear these overnight to muffle “cat sounds” that were waking me. Unfortunately, I found that they offered little relief. No appreciable difference in sound levels. We have a window fan that continueosly hums, and there was no noticeable decrease in this sound either. They are pretty comfortable, but that’s about the only positive.

I live with other adults, and as such there tends to be snoring, loud tvs etc. These have been fantastic in blocking out those sounds when I need to sleep but not so much that I can't hear my own alarm in the morning. My biggest gripe is that they very rarely last the entire night in my ears, so inevitably I spend time trying to track them down in my sheets (I've already had one casualty, so good thing they give you 2 pairs!). At this point, I'm not sure if it's my canals or the plugs, but at least they're brightly colored so they're relatively easy to find.
