iCarez HD Anti Glare Screen Protector Anti Fingerprint, Anti-Scratch, Anti-Dust & Bubble Free For iPad Mini 1, 2 - Retail Packaging (Pack of 2)

I purchased this product because it is listed as being compatible with the iPad Mini 2, among other models. Upon receiving the product, I was initially encouraged by how detailed the instructions were and with the tools provided to facilitate the installation (wipes, rubber bands to fasten the screen while positioning, etc).However, when I began the process by positioning the protector over the iPad, I noticed that the holes for the front camera at the top and the home button at the bottom do NOT line up correctly. In fact, when I tried to position the protector in a way that the holes could come close to lining up, a good portion of the protector was off the face of the iPad. I will be returning this product for one that hopefully fits as advertised.Despite the fit being wrong, I am giving this product 3 stars for quality and clarity of the protector itself, and the simple installation, as it may fit one of the other models advertised better.========================================================Update (2016-02-06):After returning my purchase and leaving the feedback, iCarez Customer Support reached out to me and offered to make things right. They immediately took ownership of the mistake and offered to send me the correct product free of charge.I received the new protector as they promised, and I was able to use install it perfectly as described in the instructions. The protector is excellent quality and fits perfectly on the iPad Mini 2.iCarez made a solid product and provided excellent customer service.

The iCarez antiglare screen protector for the iPad mini 2 is antiglare but looks clear, not at all like all of the other matte screen protectors. Completely cuts the glare down but doesn't really decrease the quality of the Retina display like all of the others. To get a judge on how much, I'd say it reduces the glare a little bit more than the glare reduction Apple built into the iPad Air 2 with out messing with the quality of the screen. Shipping is an issue. I ended up ordering it 3 times and got the wrong item (mini 4 screen protector which is slightly too tall) each time. It was like the person doing the shipping was reaching into a mislabeled box. 1st got lost in the mail, Amazon was awesome and gave me my money back (it came way later and was the mini 4 as well). 2nd was the wrong size and Amazon returned it no problem. I ordered a 3rd time with the same disappointing results, a mini 4 screen protector. I contacted iCarez by email and they responded in a few hours. 2 days later I had the correct screen protector. Dealing with all of that was a hassle but the screen protector really is that phenomenal, good enough that when combined with the good customer service and cheap price was actually worth it. I'd actually encourage you to buy it even if they send you the wrong size and just contact iCarez on the 1st one instead of returning and reordering. The product won't turn your mini 2 into a mini 4, it can't magically change the color gamete of the screen, but with the glare gone and it still being clear I can fully enjoy the screen (no more changing the angle of my iPad slightly to change how much glare I'm getting).Note: the mini 4 screen protector is different. It is more of the traditional matte, a more textured feeling (the mini 2 is smooth) and, while reducing glare even more, kills screen quality. If you get the wrong one don't settle and just cut it down to size, the screen protectors are completely different. My guess is that they made the mini 4 to have a good bit of a matte since that iPad already has a low reflectivity (glare) and so the only reason a customer would be buying the screen protector is the reduce the glare to 0.

I hate screen protectors!! Why? Because I've never been able to apply them to a device without trapping hundreds of air bubbles and tiny dust specks underneath the screen. Thankfully, all that changed when I tried the iCarez HD ultra clear screen protector for the iPad Mini. The things that attracted me to iCarez were the PET Film protector made in Japan, the unique application method, and the fact that the films are hard-coated and scratch proof. I'm happy to report that this product delivers on every front. Inside the package you'll find two screen protectors, an anti-static cloth for cleaning the screen, and a set of stickers and rubber bands used to hold the screen in place while you remove the protective films. Additionally, there are stickers that you can use to lift the screen up and remove dirt specks with. The iCarez people really did seem to think of everything.Did the iCarez HD ultra clear screen protector go on without any bubbles? Nope. I had several of them trapped under the film. However, I was able to remove the little buggers easily with the included cloth. All I had to do was push the bubbles towards the edge of the screen. Once there, they disappeared like magic. This is the first time that I have ever been able to apply a screen protector without pulling my hair out and running around the room in frustration. The iPad, with the screen applied, is just as sensitive as normal. Most of the time my five year-old son doesn't even know it's there and that's a good thing. Did I mention the film was also made with antibacterial agents? Bonus! A week with my son and the screen looks like....well, let's just say it's nasty. Knowing that the antibacterial agents are there and working is reassuring. Plus, the screen cleans up in a snap with a little water. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this product and I expect to order more for the other iPads in the house.
